Psychotherapy: A Practical Guide (Springer, 2017). To my knowledge this is the only beginning to intermediate textbook of psychotherapy that is entirely nondenominational, meaning not tied to any one orientation. It gives a way of thinking about therapy based on the common infrastructure of all therapies, as well as giving a how-to guide from evaluation to termination, and finally, a catalog of problems clients being with guidance specific to each type.
Getting the Most From Your Therapy: Becoming an Educated Consumer (Libentia, 2105). This five-star e-book is offered free as a PDF if you join my blog mailing list, or as a Kindle book for $2.99 on Amazon. For the sophisticated consumer, the content is what led up to writing the textbook.
How We Heal and Grow: The Power of Facing Your Feelings (Libentia, 2014). Intended primarily for consumers, this book explores humans get in trouble and how we can find healing and keep growing. Available through the book page of Howtherapyworks.com or on Amazon.
Attachment to Your Therapist: A Conversation (Libentia, 2016). An e-book compilation of new thoughts, blog posts, and reader comments about their experiences. Five stars. $2.99 on Amazon as a Kindle edition.
